Read a letter

What do you need a letter for?

Pick whichever feels closest. There's no wrong answer. Letters in any theme are written for someone going through something hard.

Each letter on hopepost is written by a real person who has been through something difficult and wants to leave a small bit of hope for someone going through it now. Letters are organised into five themes — recovery, grief, loneliness, burnout, and just-a-hard-day — so you can pick whichever feels closest to where you are. There is no wrong answer. Letters in any of the themes were written for someone going through something hard, and they are often closer to each other than the labels suggest. When you pick a theme, hopepost shows you a single letter at random from that pool, not a feed to scroll. If it does not meet you where you are, ask for another. If it does, you can save it to your device — letters live in browser storage, so no account is needed and no personal information is collected. Read it. Sit with it. Close the tab when you are ready.
